I don’t know much about….

Over the last few weeks I have had the privilege of meeting some amazing new clients. Through word of mouth, mainly from current clients, I have had meetings with intelligent, hardworking and passionate people. Most of them wanted websites, while others wanted logos, business cards, instructional manuals etc.

I love these initial meetings. The stories I get to hear are amazing and inspiring. Many of them have a dream and are in the first phase of turning that dream into a reality. You hear about how they have so much to do, because they are a one man/woman enterprise, the money they have to spend but don’t have while still taking care of families, a home and sometimes even a second or third job.

The one thing that truly amazes me is that none of the people I met this week had any knowledge of how to create a web presence, no knowledge of how to use social media (or that you even can) to promote their businesses, no knowledge as to how emails and websites actually work or are started, no knowledge  of how to minimise their data costs for internet usage…and the list goes on. The common phrase I heard from these entrepreneurs was, “I don’t know much about these things.”

This got me thinking…How can I make a difference in the lives and businesses of these dreamers, these men and women who want to make their lives, their communities and their nation better? How can I use my knowledge and expertise to give them the support they need to grow their businesses? I, by no means, know it all, but I where I can help I am willing and and able to.

So, to all those new entrepreneurs and new small businesses out there who want a little help as to how to use technology, the web and anything else I can advise in your business please contact me. We can either meet or chat via email or Whatsapp. If I don’t know I will point you in the right direction. The main thing is that you ask for help, ask for direction so that you will be able to navigate this ocean a little better. My email is denver@dcis.co.za.
